Jeff Morneault, CFP®, EA, RICP®, did not follow a conventional path in finance. Driven by an innate desire to help others, Jeff began his career teaching at a Residential Facility for severely at-risk kids.  

Aspiring to make a greater impact outside the classroom, Jeff joined his local high school where he coached football and track. When it became evident that many of Jeff’s players and students could greatly benefit from financial literacy, Jeff began teaching personal finance.

As his passion for finance grew, Jeff decided to switch careers. Although he left the classroom behind, Jeff wanted to carry his heart for teaching into financial services.  While working for two advisory firms, Jeff became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™, Retirement Income Certified Professional, and Enrolled Agent, granting him the privilege to represent taxpayers before the IRS.

Watching his parents navigate retirement, Jeff realized he would find fulfillment in helping those aging gracefully into their golden years. Jeff founded Hilltop Planning on the same core values that led him to teaching: Integrity, Competency, Empathy, and Service.  

Jeff lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife Christina, and his two pups, Kurt and Maggie. He enjoys traveling, biking, playing pickleball, smoking BBQ, and hanging on the beaches of South Padre Island.
